Raise Our Voice in Parliament - Government Relations Advisers - two roles available (Federal and State)

Raise Our Voice Australia is a non-partisan social enterprise mobilising young women and gender diverse people to transform policy and politics.

The Raise Our Voice in Parliament Government Relations Advisers are responsible for managing relationships with the offices of state and federal MPs and Senators who are participating in the campaign.

The federal Youth Voice in Parliament week will be from 12-15 October 2025, the states are to be confirmed.

We particularly welcome applications from people from culturally, ethnically and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people who identify as First Nations or LGBTQIA+, people from migrant/ refugee backgrounds, and people with a disability.

All applicants are required to be over 18, and acquire and maintain an active Working With Vulnerable Persons check (or state equivalent)

Key tasks include:

  • Sending invitations to participate in the campaign to federal MPs and Senators

  • Managing participation RSVPs 

  • Answering questions from offices

  • Coordinating the delivery of speeches to the offices

  • Tracking and following up on speech selections

  • Engaging offices post-campaign to measure the impact of participation

  • Thanking offices and providing the post-campaign impact report

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is passionate about gender equity and/ or public decision making

  • Someone who has previously run projects or managed campaigns 

  • Excellent relationship building and management skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Experience working with politicians and young people

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Time commitment: 5 hours a week with more during Youth Voice in Parliament week (12-15 October) | voluntary
