Raise Our Voice in Parliament School Toolkit
Politicians speak on behalf of us. This time, they’re speaking our words.
This Youth Voice in Parliament week, your students’ have the opportunity to have their voices amplified in federal parliament. From 12-15 October 2026, federal politicians will read 90-second speeches from young people across their electorates, sharing their vision for the future with the entire nation.
This year, we’re inviting students to write a speech answering this question:
"What is one big issue shaping your future, and what is a meaningful action you want Parliament to take on it?”
This is a unique chance for your students’ to contribute their ideas directly to the decision-makers of our country. We want to ensure diverse representation and hear from as many young voices as possible.
To help your school participate and spread the word, we have provided several resources that you can download below, including email templates, posters, social media posts, slides for teachers and more.
Please note: Submissions close on 7 August.
