Leadership Team

Ashleigh Streeter-Jones
Founder & CEO

Described by Forbes Magazine as a “youthful visionary”, Ashleigh has worked in youth advocacy and campaigns for 10 years. ACT Woman of the Year 2018 and a Forbes 30 Under 30 listee, Ashleigh has been recognised as a Foundation of Young Australians Young Social Pioneer, and as an Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence.

Ashleigh has advocated for young people, gender equality and young women and gender diverse people in politics and the public sector at home and abroad, having presented on the topic to both domestic and global organisations including the World Economic Forum and World YMCA. Ashleigh has attended the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations, and in 2023, she was selected as one of 50 young leaders to attend the World Economic Forum’s annual meeting at Davos.

In 2022 she joined former Prime Minister Julia Gillard on her Not Now Not Ever tour, and hosted an event with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. Ashleigh is an experienced foreign policy practitioner, and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Politics/ IR) from Monash University and a Masters in Diplomacy from the ANU.

 

Jasmine Joyce
Head of People

As an advocate for women and non-binary representation across industries and with a background in employment law and operations, Jasmine is dedicated to empowering the volunteer base and building on an organisational culture of inclusivity and growth at Raise Our Voice Australia.

 After graduating with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce, Jasmine is currently a Graduate Lawyer at Hive Legal where she pursues both her passion for commercial law as well as her commitment to innovation and equality.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Jasmine has worked across a number of industries with particular focus on the public sector at the Australian Taxation Office and in the Operations team at legal technology start-up Xakia. 

Natalie Kuo
Head of Impact Assessment

Nat is a research professional with an interest in social impact, diversity and inclusion. Professionally, she has worked with some of Australia’s leading profit-to-member super funds and community-focused banks to find and share customer needs and stories.

She has previously volunteered as a tutor as part of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP), and held leadership positions at VGen Monash.

Nat has a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Communications, minoring in Human Rights) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Econometrics and Business Statistics).

She currently works in a customer insights role at a large health and care organisation.

 
 
 
 
 

Training team

Maria Nguyen
Head of Training

Maria is an education and gender equality advocate. She is currently the International Education Officer at Family Planning Australia. Her work involves curriculum design, developing teaching and learning resources, and facilitating teacher training workshops.
Maria is an executive committee member of the UNESCO-supported SDG4Youth Network, a group of a hundred young education activists shaping global education policies. As a youth delegate, she presented the Youth Declaration at the second Asia-Pacific Regional Education Minister’s Conference held in Bangkok, 2022. Maria recently co-led Action Track 1 on ‘Inclusive, equitable, safe and healthy schools’ for the United Nations Transforming Education Summit held during the 77th General Assembly.
She was previously a primary teacher for the NSW Department of Education and has experience supporting students with learning disabilities and difficulties as an education specialist. Maria is a past recipient of the Australian Government’s New Colombo Plan Scholarship, which enabled her to study and complete her teaching practicums in Vanuatu and Singapore. She holds a Bachelor of Education (Primary Education) and a Diploma of Project Management.

 

Kira Todd
Facilitator

Kira is studying a Masters of International Relations at the University of Melbourne and is broadly interested in policy areas which invite opportunity to create a more equitable, sustainable and just society. Having participated in youth activism initiatives including Victorian Youth Parliament and Local and Vocal, she believes in the value of educating young people about politics and empowering them to be informed citizens and advocates of change.

Kira volunteers with the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and has contributed to digital campaign analysis, as well as organising events and fundraisers. She currently works in a public-facing communications role with Rail Projects Victoria.

Clodia Stanislaus
Facilitator

Clodia is currently studying a Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics (BPPE) at the University of New South Wales. She is extremely passionate about representation in politics, foreign and domestic policy and educating young people on the power and merit of their voices, ideas and values.

She has been a part of numerous leadership programs such as Max Potential, working with the company to build on leadership skills whilst helping to amplify the voices of others. Clodia has also published writing and poetry with companies such as Red Room Poetry, using her writing to discuss issues of climate change, gender inequity and mental health.

Clodia currently volunteers in her local member of parliament's office, hoping to better understand her place in the electorate, gain first-hand experience of how policy shapes constituents' livelihoods and to better understand the intricacies of the political system.

 
 

Harper Forsythe
Facilitator

Harper is currently completing secondary school alongside volunteering commitments. Having been involved with LGBTQ+ advocacy and social justice groups, they are committed to uplifting diverse and marginalised voices in politics. 

They are passionate about civic involvement and education, and attended the National Schools’ Constitutional Convention in Canberra as a representative of South Australia. They regularly discuss issues like youth involvement in decision-making and menstrual justice as a member of the South Australian Commissioner for Children and Young People’s advisory panel.

They have extensively advocated for the voices of young people in South Australia and as a schools’ coordinator for the Australian Youth Climate Coalition and student debate adjudicator, and are incredibly passionate about educating young people. As a facilitator, Harper is dedicated to improving young people’s confidence in their knowledge and ability to meaningfully engage with political discussions.

Manasi Kumar
Facilitator

Manasi is a graduate of Law from the University of Sydney. Her passion for human rights led her to volunteer for various community legal centres such as Redfern; now currently doing her Practical Legal Training at Justice Connect in Melbourne.

Manasi joined as a facilitator in 2021 to expand her skill sets and work towards giving diverse people, especially women of colour, a platform in policy and politics in Australia.

 
 

Finley Jackson
UX Design & Accessibility

Finley is a qualified UX Designer and leads all online and training content accessibility.

Finley is a non-binary member of the LGBTQ+ community and motivated by a commitment to accessibility. They strongly believe that great design is the key to building a better world.

They run training sessions with the team, build content and run training and strategy meetings, coordinating with research, social media, branding and leadership teams to ensure our voice is diverse, inclusive and representative of our community.

Gemma Crosby
Head of Campaign

After completing a Bachelor of Global Studies and Commerce, Gemma commenced a role as a Graduate Economist with the Victorian Government in 2023. She has worked across a range of policy areas, including Environment, Resources and Decarbonisation and Early Intervention and Reform.
She is passionate about the role of community building in achieving social change and has worked across a range of campaigns over the past five years. This includes previously managing a campaign that raised funds and awareness for equal access to education for asylum seeker students.
Gemma has extensive experience amplifying the voices of young people, including through her work with the Victorian Youth Parliament. In this role she supported groups of young people across the state to advocate to key stakeholders for change on issues such as economic inequality, mental health services and justice system reform.

 

Hande Cater
Co-Head of Media

Hande is a dynamic and accomplished PR professional with a passion for strategic communication, brand development, and relationship building. With an extensive background in PR, media relations, and corporate communications, Hande consistently delivers impactful and successful media campaigns.

Driven by a commitment to crafting compelling narratives, Hande excels at managing media relations and implementing effective PR strategies for a diverse range of clients. Her expertise has garnered significant media coverage, across both local and international media outlets.

Hande is an experienced communicator with over ten years of industry experience and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Media Communications / Politics and International Relations) from Melbourne University.

Hande works as a Senior Media and Communications Advisor at Monash University, responsible for translating complex concepts into compelling stories and producing engaging content across a number of platforms.

Hande is passionate about telling the stories of young women and gender diverse people in politics and the public sector.

 

Arya Moodley
Head of School Engagement

Arya is currently a first-year university student, studying a Bachelor of Arts and Advanced Studies (Politics and International Relations) at the University of Sydney. She is incredibly passionate about amplifying the voices of young people, especially those of women, people of colour and gender diverse individuals. Arya was a 2021 Yale Young Global Scholar, chosen as one of three Australian youth representatives in the Politics, Law and Economics program. She also has been on numerous committees as an advocate for young people, including being the youngest committee member on the 2020 Youth Week Planning Committee. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering for different political causes and writing in her university’s newspaper about issues she is passionate about.

Anisha Gupta
Deputy Head of Campaign

As a diversity and equality advocate, Anisha is dedicated to creating a campaign that amplifies the voices of young people.
After graduating from a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics) and Bachelor of Arts (International Relations), Anisha currently works in strategy consulting where she pursues her passion for problem solving. Anisha’s academic excellence and community impact was recognised by the Australian Government when she was awarded the New Colombo Scholarship which allowed her to travel for study and work to Singapore and India. Her previous volunteering and leadership experiences include the Centre for Multicultural Youth, UN Youth Australia, Australian Institute of International Affairs, She’s A Crowd, interning at the Victorian Parliament and various other involvements with student societies.

 

Jessica Brazier
Co-Head of Media

Jessica is a communications and marketing professional who is a passionate about amplifying the voices of young people. She believes that all individuals deserve a spot at the table when decisions are made that affect them and their future.

Jessica has been involved in youth advocacy for over 13 years and held positions in a number of youth led organisations, advocacy boards and has represented the Asia Pacific region at the inaugural Youth to Youth Summit in Lithuania. In the 2021 NSW Local Government elections, she was elected as a Councillor for The Hills Shire Council.

In addition to her professional experience, Jessica has qualifications in Law and Arts (History and Political Thought, and International Relations), and owns her own business which specialises in helping and supporting other small businesses or individuals who struggle with technology and modern forms of marketing.

 

Charlotte Morris
Deputy Head of Community Engagement

Charlotte is currently in her third year of Laws and Global Studies at Monash University. She is passionate about diverse representation in government and providing opportunities to make political participation more inclusive and approachable.

Charlotte has previously been a member of the Indigo Shire Youth for Climate Change organization in which she had the opportunity to assist in educating and assisting young people to take action around the climate crisis. Through this and other volunteer positions she has gained experience in working with youth and members of the community and hopes to continue assisting to increase political participation and representation.

Lauren Scott
Head of Political Engagement

Lauren is a proud Arabana and Southern Arrernte person living and working in Naarm. They are studying a Bachelor of Arts (Politics and History) at the University of Melbourne, and work as an Executive Assistant in the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health Indigenous Studies Unit.
They are a passionate advocate for issues surrounding Indigenous self-determination & intersectional feminism. They have published several written pieces and facilitated workshops on these matters, and are a current Youth Council representative with YWCA Australia, providing policy and campaign direction on homelessness & housing precarity in women and gender-diverse demographics.

Lauren firmly believes that the responsibility of creating a better future lies in the hands of their generation. In a more representative political landscape, they can imagine a fairer and more equitable world.

 

Gabrielle Wilson
Head of Communications

With a background in Government Relations and Marketing, Gabrielle is enthusiastic about the intersection of political action and people. She has worked overseas as a regional head of social media marketing for an international not-for-profit organisation. Currently she works in Government as a Policy Analyst in the Department of Treasury and Finance and has previously worked in the Department of Health as the head of the communication strategy in the Victorian Cancer Agency.Gabby has a Bachelor of Business (majoring in Marketing) and a Bachelor of Government Relations (majoring in International Relations). She is a member of the International Golden Key Honour Society, an organisation honouring the achievements of the top percentage of students in the world.As the Head of Communication, she works to combine Community, Political and School engagement objectives with Social Media resources to facilitate the vision of Raise Our Voice Australia.

 

Nisha Udayakumar
Head of Community Engagement

As a gender equality and diversity advocate, Nisha is committed to uplifting the voices of young people.

Currently, in her third year as a Law (Honours) Student at Monash University, Nisha works in the business responsibility division of a national law firm to further drive sustainability, reconciliation, community, and pro bono initiatives in the corporate legal sector.

She has a particular interest in mentoring young people from diverse backgrounds. This is demonstrated in her involvement in the Access Monash Mentoring Program, committed to supporting secondary students from underrepresented and low-socioeconomic areas in accessing tertiary education. Recently, she has been involved in the Victorian Youth Parliament, connecting groups of young people with community stakeholders to enrich their understanding of issues to be tabled into the Youth Parliament such as climate change, social housing, and mental health reform.

 
 

Tiff Ng
Head of Social Media

Tiff Ng is the Founder and Chief Storyteller at The Social Story. She is passionate about empowering people to tell their stories in meaningful ways through social.

With a decade of experience in social media, she loves ways to connect the dots between the audience and the business. Tiff focuses on how businesses can build lasting relationships that inform, inspire and activate their audiences. Moreover, she looks at ways that social can be a tool for social impact - from how we can make it more accessible to how we can promote ideas of inclusivity and sustainability with every post.

 

Ridmi Dolamulla
Content Creator

Ridmi is an activist and gender equality advocate. She has held leadership positions at SEED Monash and Change x Unzipped. She has also co-produced a podcast with Monash University's Respectful Communities and works as a Monash Connect Officer at the University.

Ridmi has a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) and postgraduate studies in Family Violence Prevention. She has completed a quantitative analysis on women's use of contraception in primary care, and research on international student experience of family violence in Australia.

Ridmi volunteers with Radio Lollipop at Monash Children’s Hospital, and works with start ups & social business such as Alex Makes Meals in her spare time.

 

Communications

Hannah Mansfield
Deputy Head of Social Media

Hannah is a big advocate for young people understanding politics and backing themselves within the Australian political system.
She is a Deakin graduate with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Politics and a Diploma of Indonesian. Her award-winning Honours thesis explored the possibilities for youth Australians to make political change.She currently lives in Hobart and works for the federal government in the Tasmanian Jobs and Skills team. Prior to this, she completed the Tasmanian Government Graduate Program as a Policy Officer within the Strategic Projects and Skills teams.

 

Hollie Hughes
Content Creator

Hollie is a Bachelor of Communication (Journalism) Graduate and Law Student from Newcastle, NSW. She is a passionate community volunteer, feminist and survivor-advocate who uses her privilege to be a voice for those less fortunate. 

In 2022, Hollie was President of the University of Newcastle Law Students’ Association and used her role to champion Indigenous and LGBTQIA+ communities. 

Hollie works as Digital Communications and Community Coordinator at NSW Rural Doctors & spends her free time volunteering for What Were You Wearing? Australia, The Survivor Hub and Country to Canberra.

 
 
 

Anna Chapman

Anna is in her final semester of a Bachelor of International Relations with a Minor in Development Studies at the Australian National University. Having previously been a part of the UN Girl Up Program and interned at the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership, Anna is passionate about improving the lives of women. As part of the social media team, Anna is looking forward to encouraging everyday individuals to become key players in these important discussions and working together as a society to gender equality.    

 

Claudia Walter
Content Creator

Claudia is a recent Bachelor of Arts and Diploma of Languages graduate from the University of Melbourne. She has worked in Nanjing, studied in Munich and is soon to move to Jabiru for a remote work placement.

As a result of these varied cultural experiences, Claudia is passionate about creating content that is rich in diversity and tells the stories of people from all walks of life. Her goal is to empower young women and non-binary people in Australia by equipping them with the information they need to be politically engaged seekers of positive action.
