Head of Training

Raise Our Voice Australia is a non-partisan social enterprise working to amplify the voices of young women and gender diverse people in domestic policy, foreign policy and politics.

The Head of Training is a senior volunteer leadership position responsible for the strategic design and execution of our educational ecosystem. This role bridges the gap between our mission and our impact by transforming existing knowledge into an offline curriculum and a flagship Fellowship program. This role will serve as the architect of the learner experience and the foundational leader of our facilitation team.

We particularly welcome applications from people of colour, people who identify as First Nations, those who are part of the LGBTQIA community, and persons with a disability.

Key tasks

Curriculum Architecture & Adaptation

  • Review existing digital and ad-hoc workshop materials to ensure pedagogical consistency.

  • Adapt content for high-impact, in-person environments, prioritising experiential learning and interpersonal connection.

  • Oversee the end-to-end creation of new curriculum modules that align with organisational goals and industry standards.

Fellowship Design and Management

  • Design the fellowship experience, defining the selection criteria, milestones, and graduation requirements for a cohort-based experience.

  • Develop the frameworks for peer-to-peer learning and mentorship that sustain the Fellowship beyond individual sessions.

  • Establish KPIs to measure the long-term transformation and success of the Fellowship.

Leadership and Capability building

  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, and lead a high-performing team of volunteer facilitators.

  • Define the best standard for facilitation and implement initiatives to ensure delivery excellence.

  • Work with the executive team to align training outcomes with organisational objectives.

What we are looking for:

  • Passionate about gender equity and/ or public decision making

  • Experience designing educational material and curriculums for adult learners

  • Experience previously managing programs

    Experience facilitating or presenting to groups

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Comfortable working with diverse groups of people, sees diversity as a strength

  • Experience creating accessible content

  • Experience building and managing teams of educators, trainers, or volunteers

Time commitment: 4 hours a week | voluntary
