Facilitator

Raise Our Voice Australia is a non-partisan social enterprise mobilising young women and gender diverse people to transform policy and politics.

Facilitators will work as part of the Training team to deliver our education programs, support the development of training curriculums, and will help build a community of active, engaged and empowered citizens who will increase their engagement with public decision making.

We particularly welcome applications from people of colour, people who identify as First Nations or LGBTQIA, persons from migrant/ refugee backgrounds, and persons with a disability.

All applicants are required to be over 18, and acquire and maintain an active Working With Vulnerable Persons check (or state equivalent)

A typical day might look like:

  • Supporting our long term training program

  • Working with the team to design training material for stand-alone workshops and modules

  • Online delivery of training programs

  • Creating worksheets, videos of other types of training content

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is passionate about gender equity and/ or public decision making

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Previous experience facilitating or presenting to groups

  • Someone who is comfortable working with diverse groups of people, and who sees diversity as a strength

  • Someone who has an understanding of different learning styles, although this is not a prerequisite

What you will get out of it:

  • Experience developing learning resources centred on policy and leadership

  • Membership of a community of passionate future leaders

Time commitment: 3-4 hours a week | voluntary
