Raise Our Voice Australia

Mobilising young women and gender diverse people through education, campaigns and community to transform policy and politics.

Last year was Year 5 of Raise Our Voice in Parliament

Bigger, bolder, and more powerful than ever—over 500 young Australians spoke up, sparked change, and made their voice heard where it matters most.

Last year, we challenged young Australians to tackle the big questions shaping our future. What steps should the government take today to build a better tomorrow for young Australians?

They brought their ideas, their passion, and their voices to the table, influencing real decisions and driving action on issues including climate change, housing, mental health, education, and more.

Your voice matters. Your ideas inspire change. Don’t just watch history happen, be part of it. Stay tuned for 2026!

Our Work

  • A Movement for Youth Voices

The Forfeit Campaign 2025 is your chance to make a difference this Federal Election. With over 1.2 million young Australians aged 14–18 inheriting the government chosen this year, their voices are too important to ignore. This campaign collects the priorities of young Australians who can’t yet vote and asks eligible voters to consider forfeiting their vote to amplify these critical issues. Together, from the polling booth to Parliament House, we’re shaping a brighter, more inclusive future. Share your priorities today and join a movement that puts youth voices at the forefront of politics and policy.

  • Raise Our Voice in Parliament 2025 is your chance to make an impact. Open to anyone aged 25 and under, this campaign gives young Australians the platform to share their ideas and influence politics and policy.

  • Book a workshop to further your leadership and civic engagement journey

Our educational workshops develop young change makers, encouraging authentic, values-led leadership.

We build knowledge around politics and policy processes, and equip change makers with the skills to catalyse change.

  • 1) New research by Raise Our Voice Australia finds that young women and gender diverse people are less likely to aspire to political and government careers due to lower likelihood to identify as a leader, lack of role models, and low confidence in their qualifications.

Young people are politically engaged, and doing politics differently

    2) A new report released by the Global Institute of Women’s Leadership, supported by Raise Our Voice Australia, finds that young politically engaged Australians care passionately about key issues, but don’t feel represented or listened to by our political leaders.

    3) Research by Raise Our Voice Australia in partnership with The Body Shop shows young women and gender diverse people are less likely to engage in political spaces as a result of media reporting over the last 12 months.

  • Raise Our Voice Australia's Community is a vibrant space where young Australians come together to share ideas, spark conversations, and drive meaningful change. Whether it’s through storytelling, policy advocacy, or grassroots action, this community empowers young people to amplify their voices and shape a better future.
