Facilitators

Raise Our Voice Australia is a non-partisan social enterprise working to amplify the voices of young women and gender diverse people in domestic policy, foreign policy and politics.

Facilitators will work as part of a team to deliver our education programs, support the development of training curriculums, and will help build a community of active, educated and empowered citizens who will increase their engagement with public decision making.

We particularly welcome applications from people of colour, people who identify as First Nations, those who are part of the LGBTQIA community, and persons with a disability.

What you will get out of it:

  • Experience working with passionate groups of people who are motivated to create change

  • Experience developing learning resources centred on policy and leadership

  • Membership of a community of passionate future leaders

  • Contribute to an organisation focused on having and supporting critical national conversations

A typical day might look like:

  • Working with the team to design training material

  • Online delivery of training programs

  • Creating worksheets, videos of other types of training content

  • Implementing strategies for online community building

  • Mentoring and learning from our senior facilitator team

What we are looking for:

  • Someone who is passionate about gender equity and/ or public decision making

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Previous experience facilitating or presenting to groups

  • Someone who is comfortable working with diverse groups of people, and who values diversity as a strength

  • Someone who has an understanding of different learning styles, although this is not a pre-requisite

Time commitment: 3 hours a week | voluntary
Location: online, anywhere in Australia
